Investment Analyst

 

A public employee retirement system has an opening for the position of Investment Analyst. Primary responsibilities include assisting the Chief Investment Officer and Senior Investment Officer in all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the investment portfolio, including performance measurement, monitoring investment managers and working with external service providers. Minimum requirements include two years of experience in a professional or technical capacity in business, with an emphasis in duties in the area of investments or finance. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with specialization in business or public administration, finance, economics, accounting or a related field. A working knowledge of investment markets and performance calculation methodologies is highly desirable. Preference may be given for progress towards or completion of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Some overnight travel required.
