Dec 31, 2025 | News

MPERS is excited to announce that our 2026 education schedule will be released soon! Each year, MPERS offers a variety of live, in‑person, and virtual educational opportunities designed to help members better understand their benefits, plan for retirement, and stay informed about important updates.

Whether you’re early in your career or well into retirement, these sessions provide clear and practical guidance to help you make confident, informed decisions about your financial future.

What to Expect in 2026

Our upcoming education lineup will offer something for every type of learner:

  • Pre‑Retirement Seminars – Ideal for members within five years of retirement, these sessions walk through benefit calculations, retirement options, the application process, and what to expect once retirement begins. Available in-person and as an online webinar. Pre-retirement seminars held in Jefferson City will now be held at our new location.
  • Mid‑Career Workshops – For members who want a better understanding of how MPERS works, how service credit affects your benefit, and how to plan strategically during your working years.
  • New Employee Sessions – A great introduction for newer members to learn the basics of their retirement plan and understand the value of their MPERS benefit from day one.

Why Education Matters

These programs are designed to be easy to understand, practical, and tailored to real questions from members across the state.
