Presented in the Exhibit or Historical Display category, the award recognizes excellence in government communication and visual design.
The installation transforms the main lobby entrance into a visual tribute to MoDOT and Missouri State Highway Patrol employees. Featuring carefully selected historical imagery, the display highlights the legacy of public service that defines MPERS and creates an immediate connection for members and visitors.
Developed in-house as part of the agency’s move to its new facility, the project was designed to ensure the organization’s history is visible and reflected upon arrival.
The display has since become a focal point for visitors, prompting members to pause, engage with the imagery, and reflect on their own careers in public service.
The NAGC Blue Pencil Awards honor outstanding communication efforts across all levels of government, and this recognition reflects MPERS’ continued focus on meaningful, member-centered communication.
