1099-R Forms Are Now Available

Good news! MPERS has mailed out this year’s 1099-Rs, and they are officially on the way to your mailbox. If you don’t want to wait for the paper copy, you can view and print your 1099-R anytime through your myMPERS account. Just log in and download your form instantly.

If you worked and retired during the 2025 tax year, remember you’ll receive:

• A W-2 from your former employer, and
• A 1099-R from MPERS for your retirement benefit.

If you elected BackDROP, you’ll receive additional 1099-Rs reflecting each distribution. For example, if you chose a combination of cash and rollover, expect one 1099-R for the cash portion and one for the rollover portion.

Need Another Copy?

You can download and print your 1099-R anytime by logging into your myMPERS account. This is especially helpful if:

• Your mailed form is delayed
• You misplaced your printed copy
• You need to reprint forms for multiple tax filings (e.g., amended returns)
