At MPERS, our mission is simple: to provide sustainable retirement, survivor, and disability benefits for the lifetime of our members.

Our Core Responsibilities

  • Administer Retirement Benefits: We manage defined benefit plans for eligible employees of the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), and MPERS staff.
  • Support Members Through Life Events: From onboarding to retirement, we guide members through benefit elections, disability claims, and survivor benefits.
  • Ensure Financial Sustainability: We invest and manage the trust fund to ensure long-term solvency and benefit security for over 18,000 members.
  • Provide Education and Counseling: Our team offers personalized counseling, educational seminars, and online resources to help members make informed decisions.
  • Maintain Transparency and Accountability: We publish annual reports, actuarial valuations, and investment performance to keep stakeholders informed.

Who We Serve

MPERS serves active employees, retirees, and benefit recipients from MoDOT, MSHP, and MPERS. Whether you’re just starting your career or planning your retirement, we’re here to support you every step of the way.

Commitment to Excellence

We are committed to delivering exceptional service, maintaining the highest standards of fiduciary responsibility, and adapting to the evolving needs of our members and the State of Missouri.
