Annual Statement
Your annual benefit statement is one of the best tools you have for understanding your benefits and checking that your information is accurate.
This statement provides a snapshot of the benefits you receive as an employee of MoDOT, the Highway Patrol, or MPERS. It includes retirement benefits, medical insurance, dental and vision coverage, deferred compensation, cafeteria plan information, and disability benefits. Taking time to review it each year can help you better understand your total compensation and spot anything that may need attention.
Active members receive an email notification when the statement is available and can view it in their email. They can also find it on their myMPERS Secure Member Access. Once logged in, go to the Statements section under the Communications heading on the left side of your account home page. If you have not set up your account yet, click the myMPERS login button, then select “Click here to sign up!” to request an enrollment PIN.
As you review your statement, look at both the big picture and the details. Check beneficiary information, review your retirement benefit summary, and note anything you want to follow up on. Your retirement benefit is based on service, salary, and plan provisions, and the statement brings them all together in one place. A few minutes now can help you ask better questions and make more informed decisions about the benefits you earn through your service.
